Minister of Education participates in the meeting of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils and announces the completion of the mechanisms of the distinguished scientific research award

         Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi participated in the semi-annual meeting of the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, which witnessed its new launch in the capital Baghdad in the presence and participation of a number of Arab ministers of higher education and heads and representatives of scientific research councils and bodies in the Arab countries.

In his speech during the opening of the meeting, Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed that this meeting represents a strategic platform for integrating Arab scientific efforts and unifying visions towards developing mechanisms to support scientific research, in order to respond to development challenges and formulate solutions based on knowledge and innovation.

He pointed out that Iraq, through its academic institutions, has always believed that scientific research is the cornerstone of sustainable development, pointing out that the distinguished scientific research award in the Arab world proposed by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and completed its organizational procedures represents a practical step to promote the culture of excellence and creativity and motivate Arab researchers to present quality projects that keep pace with global knowledge shifts.

For his part, the Secretary General of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils, Dr. Abdul Majid Benamara, appreciated the great efforts exerted by the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, in supporting the Federation, stressing that the launch and resumption of its work from Baghdad reflects Iraq’s role in promoting and supporting Arab scientific and developmental initiatives.
