The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Council at the University of Kerbala held its sixteenth meeting, chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi Dean of the Faculty to discuss preparations for the start of the 2025–2026 academic year.
The council discussed a number of key issues that would ensure the smooth running of the educational process, with the most prominent recommendations focusing on:
• Preparing the university environment to welcome undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Preparing weekly study schedules and distributing them to the scientific branches and departments.
• Adherence to official attendance for undergraduate and graduate students and confirmation of the attendance and effective presence of teaching staff.
• Close monitoring by department heads of all administrative and technical matters related to the teaching staff.
• Qualification and equipping of laboratories to accommodate educational and training programmes.
• Review and update curricula in line with recent scientific developments.
At the end of the meeting the dean of the college emphasised that ‘these preparations come within the framework of the college’s keenness to improve the educational and research process and provide an integrated academic environment that supports students and researchers and serves the needs of society.
