Engineer Nasif Jassim Al-Khatabi, the respected Governor of Holy Kerbala visited the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the respected University of Kerbala accompanied by Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali the respected President of the University, and a number of officials, to attend one of the scientific discussions at the faculty and to review the level of academic and research activity there.
During the visit, the Governor praised the distinguished role played by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in supporting scientific research and serving the community emphasising that its research constitutes a fundamental source of support for the veterinary and health sectors and contributes to providing scientific and practical solutions to the various challenges facing the province.
He also praised the efforts of the faculty’s professors and researchers, who work with a serious scientific spirit to prepare a generation of talented individuals capable of contributing to sustainable development noting that this scientific movement reflects the status of the University of Karbala as a leading academic institution at the national level.
In his speech the dean of the college Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, expressed his deep pride in the visit of the governor and the university president saying that their presence today reflects the depth of support that the College of Veterinary Medicine receives from the province’s leadership and the university presidency, which is a great incentive for us to continue our scientific and research journey. The patronage of the governor and the encouragement of the university president are fundamental to the success of our projects and give the faculty additional strength to be a leading scientific centre serving the local and national community.
The President of Kerbala University Prof. Dr Sabah Wajid Ali emphasised that the Governor’s visit to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine represented significant support for the university and a message of confidence in its academic and research standing.
The visit concluded with an emphasis on strengthening the partnership between the University of Kerbala and state institutions thereby enhancing the status of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine as an active research and academic centre that contributes to serving the community and developing its capabilities.
