The Public Health Department at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala organised a scientific field visit to the Al-Hafiz feed manufacturing laboratory in Karbala province for postgraduate (Master’s) students.
The visit was part of the branch’s practical training programme which aims to enhance students’ practical and theoretical knowledge by giving them a first-hand look at production lines, feed manufacturing stages, quality control mechanisms and laboratory analysis of food ingredients used in animal feed.
Professor Kazim Saleh Kazim explained that these activities contribute to linking theoretical study with practical aspects and providing students with the field skills necessary to understand manufacturing processes and evaluate the quality of animal food products which positively reflects on their research and professional competence.
For his part, the Dean of the College Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, praised the efforts of the Public Health Department in organising scientific visits, emphasising that the college attaches great importance to practical activities for postgraduate students, as they represent a fundamental pillar in the development of scientific research and the integration of theoretical and field education.
He pointed out that the college continues to support scientific and field initiatives that contribute to raising the efficiency of its students and broadening their practical and scientific horizons, in line with the University of Kerbala’s approach to developing the higher education and scientific research environment and strengthening communication with public and private sector institutions in a manner that serves the academic and community process.
