The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala welcomed its new first-year students for the current academic year in an atmosphere brimming with enthusiasm and ambition. They were greeted by the Dean of the College Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi and the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs Professor Dr. Ihab Ghazi Mahdi who warmly welcomed the students, emphasizing that their choice of this specialization reflects their genuine passion for veterinary science and their desire to serve their community.
In his welcoming remarks, the Dean affirmed that studying veterinary medicine provides students with the opportunity to enter diverse professional fields that contribute to enhancing public health, serving the community, and achieving development. He pointed out that this specialization combines the human and scientific aspects, granting graduates ample scope for creativity, excellence, and building a solid professional future.
The College administration also stressed its commitment to providing a supportive and encouraging academic environment and offering the best educational and training resources to ensure a strong start to the students’ university journey. This reception comes as part of the college’s vision to prepare a generation that is aware and scientifically and practically qualified, capable of improving the veterinary health sector in Iraq.
