Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Honors Winners of the Third Higher Education Reading Award

          Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored the students who won the third edition of the Higher Education Reading Award for 2025.

In his address, attended by senior faculty members, the head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, presidents of Iraqi universities, and deans of colleges, the Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education’s adoption of these inspiring initiatives aligns with its vision of promoting a culture of reading, fostering productive awareness, and empowering students to engage positively with knowledge, moving beyond mere reception to critical analysis. He noted that unconventional reading is a key avenue for stimulating students’ intellectual abilities and enhancing their capacity to confront challenges and formulate solutions and stances that cultivate a conscious university personality.

He explained that the Higher Education Reading Award is an extension of the Iraqi academic movement, through which universities have demonstrated a strong presence and impact in global rankings and classifications, leaving a positive mark in the field of rigorous scientific work.

The event included a speech by the organizing committee, delivered by the Ministry Advisor, Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan, and a documentary film about the award. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, concluded the celebration by taking commemorative photos with the winning students and members of the ministerial organizing committee, praising their efforts in preparation and organization and congratulating all participants on their engagement in these creative spaces.
