The Student Activities Division – Cultural Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Internal and Preventive Veterinary Medicine and students of the College of Veterinary Medicine, organized an educational awareness campaign about rabies under the slogan:
“Rabies… A Deadly, Preventable Threat.” The campaign aimed to promote health awareness and reduce the risks of zoonotic diseases.
The campaign was held under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, who emphasized the important role of academic institutions in disseminating health education and promoting community prevention.
The campaign included simplified lectures and informational brochures on the modes of transmission and prevention of the disease, stressing the importance of regular vaccination and seeking medical attention at health centers after animal bites.
