The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala achieved third place in the 2025 Iraqi Ranking of Scientific Departments

      The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala achieved a significant academic accomplishment by securing third place in the 2025 Iraqi Ranking of Scientific Departments. This achievement reflects the advanced scientific standing the college has attained and confirms its active and distinguished presence among its counterparts in Iraqi veterinary medicine colleges.

This progress aligns with the directives and support of the President of the University of Kerbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, and the university administration’s commitment to elevating the academic landscape and enhancing the quality of higher education. This is achieved by providing a university environment that fosters scientific creativity and rigorous research, in accordance with national ranking and academic accreditation standards.

This achievement is the fruit of the vision and scientific approach adopted by the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, which focused on curriculum development, supporting scientific research, and enhancing academic and institutional performance. This was further supported by the active participation of the college’s teaching, administrative, and technical staff in research output by faculty and students.

The Dean expressed his pride in this achievement, emphasizing that it was the result of the support of the University of Karbala’s administration and collaborative institutional efforts. He commended the significant efforts of the teaching, administrative, and technical staff and affirmed the college’s commitment to continuing its work to strengthen its position in national and international rankings and to serve the community and the health and animal sectors.
