The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kerbala University, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, participated as a member of the committee discussing a Master’s thesis at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Al-Qasim Green University, Department of Microbiology. The thesis was titled:
“Detection and Characterization of Foot and Mouth Virus”.
The thesis focused on the detection and laboratory characterization of foot-and-mouth disease, one of the most important viral diseases with a significant economic impact on livestock.
The discussion featured a rigorous scientific dialogue that addressed the diagnostic and molecular aspects of the disease and the importance of developing epidemiological surveillance and control mechanisms to support animal health programs.
This participation reflects the active scientific presence of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kerbala University and its commitment to strengthening academic cooperation among Iraqi universities, in line with the goals of developing scientific research and serving the veterinary sector.
