Kerbala University Organizes an Awareness Workshop on Tolerance at the College of Veterinary Medicine

The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Kerbala University, organized an awareness workshop entitled “Tolerance as a Human Value in Contemporary Societies,” as part of its protection pillar. The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Zaid Wafaq Shaker and Assistant Lecturer Tuqa Abdul-Ridha Mohammed.

The workshop addressed the concept of tolerance as an ethical behavior that promotes peaceful coexistence and respect for diversity, and its role in reducing conflicts and establishing psychological and social stability. It emphasized that tolerance represents a moral strength that does not mean relinquishing one’s rights.

The workshop also reviewed the most prominent manifestations of tolerance in daily life and the obstacles that limit its spread, while proposing practical ways to strengthen this value within families, educational institutions, and society at large, thus contributing to building an environment characterized by cooperation and mutual respect.
