Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, the college’s Human Rights Unit held a workshop entitled “Extremism and its Impact on Public Health and Food Security.” This workshop was part of the unit’s efforts to raise community awareness of issues with health and humanitarian dimensions.
The workshop addressed the concept of extremism, its various forms, and its negative repercussions on social stability, particularly its direct and indirect impact on public health and food security by weakening institutional structures and hindering development programs and essential services.
It also highlighted the importance of promoting a culture of moderation and tolerance, and strengthening social responsibility in protecting resources and ensuring the sustainability of health and food systems, thus contributing to building a more aware and stable society.
