Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, fourth- and fifth-year students carried out a volunteer activity at the Animal Field Unit in cooperation with the Department of Internal and Preventive Veterinary Medicine.
The activity included equipping and organizing the outpatient clinic’s pharmacy with veterinary medicines and supplies according to professional standards that ensure safe storage and accurate use. It also included conducting clinical examinations of animals, diagnosing some diseases and parasites, and implementing deworming programs, with case documentation to ensure follow-up.
The Dean’s office emphasized that the initiative comes within the framework of enhancing the students’ practical experience and linking theoretical studies with field work, as well as supporting animal health in line with the goals of achieving sustainable development, particularly in the areas of good health, quality education, and food security.
