As part of the National Strategy for Education and Higher Education (2022–2031), the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala, organized a workshop titled “Raising Awareness of the Culture of Integrity, Transparency, and Accountability: Crimes of Embezzlement of Public Funds and Their Impact on the Iraqi Economy.” The event was held under the patronage and guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College.
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Jalil Abees, who addressed the concept of public fund embezzlement, its causes, and its impact on the economy and development. He also discussed the legal and regulatory frameworks for combating such crimes, as well as the importance of fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability to safeguard public funds.
