Two professors at the College of Veterinary Medicine-University of Karbala including Dr. Haider Ali Muhammad/ Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the College and the lecturer Mustafa Abdul-Karim participated in the biological security workshop entitled: (Biosafety Officer’s Training) which was held in Erbil Governorate for the period from 2nd to 6th October 2022.
The workshop aims to provide guidance and training on the control of pathogens that pose major health risks such as the Coronavirus, which can cause damaging economic effects and public anxiety. In addition, the training course combines technical expertise and advice on pathogens with a severe impact on human and animal health. The workshop included training on the use of laboratory supplies when exposed to dangerous biological agents and how to dispose of these materials (through biological damage).
