▪️From the first moment of the spread of the footage with behavioral dysfunction, we have taken all deterrent legal measures that amount to removal from public office, recognizing that this type of behavior represents a serious act harmful to the public interest.
▪️At the same time, we urge our honorable society to stand in solidarity and face the repercussions emanating from some promoters of publications on social media platforms and not to expose the families of the accused and their family and professional environment to harmful collective defamation to achieve personalized motives or fabricate certain fabrications, as the transmission and defamation of obscenity is no less bad than the perpetrators.
▪️We renew confidence in the University of Basra, its scholars and professors, and we affirm that you deserve to protect society, defend its values and causes, and your ancient institution, and combat the promoters of vice and obscenity in society.
I address my message to all our universities:
▪️ I call on the higher university administrations and their respected staff who have assumed responsibility at all times to take the initiative, formulate the required qualitative awareness, and formulate a conscious cultural movement that believes in the values and traditions of society rooted in the depth of this blessed land.
▪️ We in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research are continuing to protect the educational institution and establish its ambition and programs in achieving its academic mission and scientific goals, and prosecuting those who abuse it under the influence of social publishing consumption.
