The College of Veterinary Medicine organizes a training course on blood draw and the most important genetic diseases

               In continuation of the implementation of the curriculum of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit in the college and under the direct follow-up and supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, the conclusion of the activities of the training course, which is entitled the mechanism of blood drawing and the most important genetic diseases

Where the aim of the training course was to identify the mechanism of drawing blood and how to draw venous and arterial blood, in addition to knowing the most important laboratory procedures for collecting and examining blood samples and pre-processing of tools used for withdrawal to avoid exposure to risks, as well as knowing the most important genetic diseases that affect the blood, including sickle cell anemia, hemophilia and leukemia.

The training course highlighted a number of axes, including to learn about the mechanism of blood withdrawal, methods of withdrawal and pre-processing of the tools used for withdrawal, in addition to addressing the most important laboratory procedures used to collect and examine blood samples, through which genetic diseases, including sickle cell anemia, are identified.
