The University of Karbala ranked sixth locally among Iraqi public universities in the Iraqi classification of universities for the year 2024 announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid, praised the efforts of the staff working at the university for their exceptional efforts to achieve progress and excellence, stressing the need for this success to be an incentive to continue to reach advanced positions in local and international rankings.
(100) governmental and private institutions were subjected to various evaluation criteria to measure the quality of their performance according to (10) axes: institutional accreditation standards (20%), international rankings (10%), effectiveness of scientific research (35%), educational laboratories (5%), evaluation of scientific and academic reality and compliance rules (5%), faculty members (4%), awards (5%), diversity and international cooperation (10%), student sports club (3%), and occupational health and safety (3%).
