The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research granted institutional accreditation to the University of Karbala along with a number of Iraqi universities.
The award decision comes after the university meets the strategic criteria that must be met by the educational institution, including governance, management, financial and material resources, faculty members, students, scientific research, community service and curricula.
In turn, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, stressed the keenness and commitment of universities to embody the requirements of quality and accreditation, achieve the mission and objectives of the educational institution, and keep pace with the global path of academic education.
For his part, the President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid, praised the ministry’s interest in the quality of education and institutional performance in accordance with the requirements of development and its global goals.
The President of the University pointed out that the granting of institutional accreditation came after tireless efforts by the university staff, who worked in a team spirit to develop the educational environment and improve the quality of education.
