The College of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University held the sixth session of its third council meeting, chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, the Dean of the college, with the presence of council members, the Dean’s assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, the representative of the Academics Syndicate, the Director of the Quality Assurance Department, and the Council Secretary, along with the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department in the college.
During the meeting, several important issues were discussed aimed at enhancing the educational process, advancing scientific and administrative aspects, and developing academic work.
The meeting resulted in a number of decisions, most notably emphasizing adherence to official working hours and specified timings, directing branch heads to monitor the attendance of staff and submit weekly reports to the deanship, and to follow up on student absences while ensuring their compliance with regulations and laws, issuing warnings to absent students, and enhancing the role of educational guidance by addressing the reasons for student absences while considering their health conditions and preparing a suitable study environment that supports their academic success.
The development of the college’s official website was also discussed, where the Dean directed the Media Department to continuously monitor and update the site to ensure it reaches the highest levels.
At the conclusion of the session, the Dean emphasized the importance of working as a cohesive team to improve the educational and administrative reality and to foster an academic environment that contributes to achieving the aspirations of students and teaching staff.
