Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organizes a scientific lecture on the dangers of drugs on society

              Under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, and within the framework of enhancing community awareness of the dangers of drugs and their negative repercussions on individuals and society, the Human Rights Unit at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University organized an awareness lecture entitled “White poisons and their dangers to the individual and society” in which Ms. Marwa Yousef Mohammed, the unit’s official, lectured in the presence of a group of professors and students.

The lecture dealt with several topics, the most important of which are the social and economic damages caused by their use. The lecture also touched on the legal frameworks adopted to combat the spread of drugs and the role played by academic institutions and society in reducing this phenomenon.

The session witnessed great interaction from the attendees as they discussed the latest scientific research on the impact of drugs on the nervous system and public health, in addition to prevention strategies and the importance of family and community awareness in combating addiction.
