Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Asad Al-Kaabi, and as part of efforts to enhance community awareness of the dangers of drugs, the Women and Human Rights Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University, in cooperation with the Educational Counseling Unit and second stage students, organized an awareness campaign on the dangers of drugs and their negative effects on the individual and society.
The campaign was launched under the slogan (Your life is more precious… Face drugs with awareness), highlighting the health, psychological and social harms of drugs, discussing the challenges and strategies to combat them and raising awareness of the importance of prevention.
The events included awareness lectures on the dangers of drug use, in addition to presentations and recent statistics on the extent of the phenomenon in society, which contributed to enhancing students’ understanding of this crucial issue and their role in addressing it.
