On the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University, honored Dr. Khawla Ibrahim Abed by awarding her the Shield of Creativity and Excellence in recognition of obtaining an outstanding patent in the field of nanotechnology.
This honor came during a ceremony organized by the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college, where Dr. Khawla was honored for her invention related to the preparation of a new acid-sensitive nanopolymer copolymer and its use as an advanced drug delivery system.
The Dean praised Dr. Khawla’s efforts and scientific perseverance, stressing that the college is proud of the achievements of its researchers and is keen to support innovation and develop scientific research in order to serve the community and raise the academic level.
For her part, Dr. Khawla expressed her thanks to the deanship of the college, stressing that this honor represents an incentive for more future scientific achievements.
