Karbala University has signed a memorandum of understanding with Russia’s Lobachevsky University, in a move aimed at enhancing international academic and scientific cooperation.
The memorandum stipulates strengthening joint cooperation in the fields of scientific research, exchanging academic expertise, organizing scientific conferences, in addition to opening the horizons of cultural and student exchange between the two universities.
During the signing ceremony, Karbala University President Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali said that this memorandum comes within the framework of the university’s efforts to open up to prestigious international universities and enhance its scientific standing at the international level, pointing out that cooperation with Lobachevsky University, known for its precise scientific specializations, represents a strategic step towards developing educational and research programs at Karbala University.
Academic MoUs are considered one of the effective tools in supporting higher education development plans, as they open new horizons for students and faculty members to learn about international experiences and participate in solid research programs, which enhances the quality of academic outputs and raises the ranking of Iraqi universities regionally and internationally.
