Fourth stage students continue their field training in veterinary hospitals

     Fourth stage students at the College of Veterinary Medicine continue their fieldwork as part of the annual summer training programme under the direct supervision of the teaching staff and with the continuous support of the deanship of the college with the aim of refining their clinical skills and linking the theoretical aspect with the practical reality.

Their daily activities included dealing with various medical conditions by conducting examinations, providing treatments, vaccination, blood draws, diagnosing diseases, and emergency surgical interventions, in addition to practicing artificial insemination operations.

The Dean of the College. Assistant Professor Dr Mohammed Asad Al Kaabi stressed the importance of this training in building the personality of the veterinarian, stressing the deanship’s keenness to provide a safe and effective training environment. The students expressed their great benefit from the programme as it boosts their self-confidence and introduces them to the reality of professional work.

It is noteworthy that the College of Veterinary Medicine organises this programme annually in cooperation with hospitals and clinics in Karbala and other provinces in order to qualify students for the requirements of the labour market.
