Minister of Education and Scientific Research honours the winners of the Arabic Language and Literature Prize and renews commitment to promote cultural awareness and academic creativity

         The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr Naim Al-Abboudi, honoured the winners of the Arabic Language and Literature Award, stressing that this award represents a link within the system of scientific and academic awards adopted and supervised by the ministry under the direct patronage of his Excellency.

The Minister of Education explained that these awards establish an integrated process that consolidates the mission of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in building an academic environment that stimulates creativity and is linked to all fields of knowledge, pointing out that they aim to establish a sustainable climate of awareness carried by academics and make them more capable of actively contributing to the scientific and cultural movement and a tributary of competitive energies in regional and international forums.

The award ceremony included speeches by the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs Dr. Adnan Ibrahim Al-Jumaili, President of the Iraqi Scientific Society Dr. Mohammed Hussein Al-Yasin and Advisor to the Prime Minister for Cultural Affairs Dr. Aref Al-Saadi, while the event concluded with the honouring of the winners of the Arabic Language and Literature Award, which included five million dinars for the first winner, three million for the second winner and two million for the third winner, as well as a number of officials of scientific institutions, by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naim Al-Aboudy, and a number of officials of scientific institutions.
