The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, announces the results of central admission to the Faculty of Excellence and the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad for the academic year 2026/2025.
He emphasised that while the establishment of these two faculties represents a qualitative addition to the higher education system, the admission results indicate high competition with one-third of those admitted to the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence scoring 98% or above while the minimum thresholds for the departments are as follows:
▪️ Big Data: 96.86
▪️ Biomedical Applications: 96.71
▪️ Engineering Applications: 96.49
He explained that the Faculty of Excellence attracted high rates ranging between 99% 98% and 97% and the minimum thresholds for the departments in the scientific branch were distributed as follows:
▪️ Data Science: 94.14
▪️ Applied Information Systems: 93.57
▪️ Business Administration and E-Commerce: 92.90
▪️ Accounting and Banking: 92.49
▪️ Philosophy and Sociology: 85.71
As for the arts branch, the minimum thresholds were as follows:
▪️ Business Administration and E-Commerce: 88.71
▪️ Accounting and Banking: 86.29
▪️ Philosophy and Sociology: 85.29
In this regard, the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research adds that the number of accepted students reached 90 in the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and 145 in the Faculty of Excellence, and directs the approval of the admission data published on the official website of the Ministry and the portal of the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up click here. Registration procedures at the University of Baghdad will begin on the date of the announcement of the results and continue until Monday, 29 September 2025.
