Towards Sustainable Scientific Cooperation: The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala Participates in the Eighth (Second International) Scientific Conference of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Mosul

    Within the framework of scientific openness and academic cooperation between colleges of veterinary medicine at Iraqi universities, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala participated in the Eighth (Second International) Scientific Conference, organized by the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Mosul under the theme “The Role of Veterinary Medicine in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals.”

The college delegation was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College, with the participation of a group of distinguished faculty members. The conference witnessed a broad and fruitful attendance of researchers and academics from various Iraqi and Arab universities.

This participation embodies the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala’s commitment to continuing its distinguished scientific journey and strengthening its academic standing among its Iraqi peers by opening up to research initiatives and solid scientific participation that contributes to the development of veterinary medicine and community service.

In his speech, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi emphasized that the participation of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala falls within the framework of its strategic vision aimed at supporting applied scientific research and knowledge integration among universities. He noted that veterinary medicine represents a fundamental pillar for achieving health, food, and economic security in the country.
He added:

“We at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala believe that joint scientific cooperation is the best path to achieving sustainable development, and that the role of the veterinarian is not limited to treating animals only, but extends to protecting humans, preserving the environment, and achieving universal health for all creatures.”

Al-Kaabi concluded his remarks by emphasizing the importance of continuing to hold such scientific conferences, which bring together minds and expertise under one umbrella to enhance research integration and exchange of ideas, serving the progress of higher education in Iraq.
