Awareness Campaign at the College of Veterinary Medicine to Combat Violence Against Women

        In line with the global campaign to combat violence against women, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala, under the supervision of its head, Assistant Lecturer Taqa Mohammed Abdul-Ridha, organized an educational campaign. This campaign included distributing awareness brochures throughout the college to raise awareness and instill a culture of respect for women and their protection from all forms of violence.

The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, affirmed the college’s continued support for such initiatives that contribute to enhancing community awareness. He stated that the college places great importance on programs aimed at protecting rights and establishing the values ​​of equality within the university community.

The campaign included distributing leaflets explaining the types of violence, its hidden methods, methods of prevention, and mechanisms for seeking help. It also emphasized the role of university students in confronting harmful behaviors and creating a safe and respectful university environment for all.

This event is part of a series of activities by the college aimed at promoting a culture of rejecting violence and supporting and empowering women in the academic community.
