The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a workshop about Immunofluorescence

           Under the supervision of the President of Kerbala University, Prof. Dr. Basem Khalil Nayel and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Wifaq Al-Bazi, the dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, and within the activities of the Division of Continuing Education, organized the Physiology, Biochemistry and Medicines Branch, in cooperation with the Department of Diseases and Poultry Diseases , a free attendance workshop entitled: Immunofluorescence Test. lectured by Dr. Raed Abdul-Mahdi and Dr. Fateh Odeh Kadhem and Assistant lec. Shaima Abdel-Hamid in the Physiology Laboratory at the college.
The workshop aimed to, how to use the immunofluorescence method in laboratory tests and to discuss its specificity and needs in the laboratory diagnosis of multiple diseases, whether viral or immunological.
The workshop also included a detailed explanation of the immunofluorescence test, which is considered one of the most important immunological tests in the field of scientific research and laboratory diagnosis of many diseases. This technique mainly depends on the emission of fluorescence resulting from the interaction that takes place between the antibodies with the target antigen, thus detecting the presence or absence of the protein in addition to its location inside the cell.
