The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a training course entitled Scanning Electron Microscopy and its most important applications in the field of scientific research

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine /University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Wifaq Al-Bazi, and within the framework of the scientific activities of continuing education in the college, the Anatomy and Histology branch, in cooperation with the branches of Physiology, Biochemistry, Medicines, Diseases of Poultry and Fish , organized a free attendance training course entitled (Scanning Electron Microscopy and its most important applications in the field of scientific research) for the period from 4-27-29 / 4 at ten am in the discussion room and electron microscope lab in the college. The training course was delivered by Prof. Dr. Hussein Bashar, Dr. Raed Abdul Mahdi, and Dr. Fateh Oudeh Kazem.
The course aimed to introduce attendees to how to use the electron microscope and its use in scientific and practical reality and to support research.
The session included an explanation of an electron microscope, its types, parts, and methods of its scientific uses.
Where the work of the electron microscope is summarized by the use of electrons to analyze samples. The source of electron emission is the texton thread that emits electrons at a high speed. There are two main types of the electron microscope, the first is the transmission electron microscope and includes the throwing of electrons into the sample and the other type is the scanning electron microscope, which depends on detecting the electrons scattered from the sample to form a three-dimensional image. The electron microscope staff has experience in the field of analyzing medical, biological, pharmaceutical, chemical, geological, engineering, industrial and electronic samples, semiconductors, materials, minerals, petrochemicals, plastics and polymers.
