Discussion of a Master’s Thesis in Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Karbala, for the student Muhammad Mohsen Karim

A master’s thesis was discussed at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Karbala, in the Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology branch of the student (Mohammed Mohsen Karim), which entitled: Antioxidant property of clove extract and its effects on cytochrome P450E1 gene expression and modulate DNA damage in rats with alcoholic induced liver disease).
And that will be on Thursday, 11/25/2021 in the discussion room in the college, in the presence of the Dean of the College, a number of professors and the student’s family. The discussion and supervision committee was formed by Prof. Ayed Hamid Hassan /Head, Prof. Dr. Nabil Mahdi Abed /Member, Assistant Prof. Dr. Sabreen Majid Muhammad /Member, Assistant Prof. Dr. Wafaa Kazem Jassem / Member and Supervisor and Assistant Prof. Dr. Haider Muhammad Ali /member and supervisor
The thesis aimed to study the antioxidant properties of clove extract and evaluate its effect on cytochrome p450E1 gene expression in alcoholic liver condition.
The thesis also discussed the results reached by the researcher that the phenolic substances in clove leaf extract improve the state of alcoholic liver through its antioxidant activity and modify DNA damage.
The thesis was approved with excelent degree. Congratulations to the student. We wish all postgraduate students success.
