The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research,Prof. Nabil Kazem Abdel –Sahb receives the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee of Higher Education , Prof. Dr.Muzahim Al –Khayyat, and debated a spectrum of academicaffairs in primary and higher studies. The two sides discussed a number of the axes of the meeting, including the expansion file in higher studies, and they agreed to sign a joint agendathat includes a recommendation to present the issue with the Opinion Board of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and emphasize the universities plan as well as the axis of financial allocations for educational institutions in the upcoming budget to enhance the linkages of the educational process and cover its requirements and proceed to amend the legal retirement age of teaching institutions.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nabil Kazem Abdel –Sahb, directed the formation of a higher ministerial committee to determine the financial supplies and the needs imposed by the scientific research environment and are required by the development paths of infrastructure and the indication of the amounts required to cover the expenses and wages of lectures, supervision and contracting with Iraqi scientific expertise obtaining the scientific titles of the degree including an expert, oldest expert and head of experts to supervise graduate students in light of the specializations that suit the labor market.
On his part, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Prof. Dr. Muzahim Al –Khayyat, affirmed the support of the Parliamentary Committee for all the paths for developing and financing higher studies at universities and enabling the Iraqi researcher to enhance his presence in the global forums. At the same time, Al –Khayyat praised the decisions and steps of the Ministry of Higher Education concerned with supporting the students and regarding the academic year 2021-2022 a year of no failure and the file ofappointing the first graduates and contracts.
