The Public Health Branch in the College of Veterinary Medicine discussed a master’s thesis performed by the student (Shaimaa Allawi Obaid) on topic:
(the effect of adding plantago lanceolata L. seed powder on growth performance, physiological traits and immune response of broiler chickens).
In the presence of a number of professors and researchers, the discussion held at the College on Thursday 3/11/2022.
The thesis aimed at studying the effect of the seed powder of this substance on the traits that lead to an increase in animate body weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, and evaluation of some physiological properties by testing liver enzymes and antibody titer for Newcastle disease (ND), Infectious Bursal disease (Gumboro) and immunity of bursitis, spleen and liver by measuring the productive traits, which included weight increase, physiological traits, fat ratio, liver enzymes, and some immune traits for Newcastle disease (ND) and Infectious Bursal disease (Gumboro).
The accomplished results reached by the researcher showed the effect of adding plantago lanceolata L. seed powder on growth performance, physiological traits and immune response of broiler chickens to the extent of three per cent (3%) on broiler chickens. The thesis approved with excellence.
