A thesis investigates the effect of spirulina suspension on the cardiovascular system induced by D.galactose in male rabbits conducted in the College of Veterinary Medicine

A master’s thesis in the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Karbala, discussed the (effect of spirulina suspension on the cardiovascular system induced by D.galactose in male rabbits) that accomplished by the student Heba Abdel-Karim from the branch of physiology, biochemistry, and pharmacology. On Thursday 11/17/2022 and in in the presence of a number of researchers and teachers in the discussion hall in the College the thesis conducted. The aim of the thesis is to conduct a study to investigate the protective role of spirulina in damage to the circulatory system (heart and aorta) caused by excessive D.galactose in male rabbits.
The thesis also discussed the findings of the researcher that injuries caused by D-gal should be avoided, especially in the heart and aortic artery disorder from increased D-gal, which can be avoided with a dose of 500 mg / kg of body weight of spirulina to reduce its harmful effects. The thesis was approved with excellence.
