The College of Veterinary Medicine has held the third meeting of the committee of following up the implementation of the terms of the MOU for joint scientific cooperation with the veterinary hospital in the governorate of holy Karbala

Keeping pace with framework of its various activities and in cooperation with the veterinary hospital in the governorate of holy Karbala, the College of Veterinary Medicine has held the third meeting to follow up the mechanism for implementing the items of the memorandum of understanding for joint scientific cooperation between the two partners. On Wednesday 11/23/2022 at 10.am O’clock the meeting conducted at the College in the presence of Prof. Dr. Wefaq Jubouri Al-Bazi, Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ihab Ghazi Mahdi, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Asaad Khalaf Talal, Head of the Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine Branch, Assistant Professor Rana Abdul Amir Jawad Head of the Division of Continuing Education and Dr. Amna Khudair Al-Khafaji, Assistant Director of the General Veterinary Hospital in the Holy Karbala Governorate.
Within the mechanism of the memorandum of understanding assigned between the two parties, the meeting aims to discuss a number of axes that has been agreed upon earlier. Throughout the meeting, a number of terms have been discussed, the most important of which is the conversion of the general veterinary hospital into an educational hospital to serve the public interest, especially as it meets the conditions required to serve the scientific process in the governorate of holy Karbala to hone the skills of the veterinarian and for the graduates of the College.
In addition, the meeting has discussed the possibility of establishing a special hall for poultry belonging to the College of Veterinary Medicine after obtaining the original approvals and allocating financial support to finance it. The research hall should be sober approved under the supervision of the Branch of Public Health to afford all the services needed for scientific researches and studies. Also, the mechanism of the fourth (first international) scientific conference to be held during May next year has been discussed. Furthermore, the meeting concluded by submitting a proposal to establish an animal welfare organization or association in the governorate of holy Karbala.
