The College of Veterinary Medicine organized an educational symposium entitled:(No to violence against women)

Under the auspices of the President of Karbala University, Prof. Dr. Basem Al-Saeedi and the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Faq Jubouri Al-Bazi, within the activities of Women’s Empowerment Unit, in coincidence with the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women, and in cooperation with the General Veterinary Hospital in the province and the Gender Unit in the Karbala Health Department, the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala held an educational symposium entitled: (No to violence against women).

The symposium lectured by the trainer, Mr, Saydali Ali Hussein Hassan / Coordinator of the Gender Unit in the Karbala Health Department, Hindia Sector and Aya Abbas Fadel, responsible for the rehabilitation and employment unit at the College. The seminar held on Sunday, 12/4/2022 at (10 am) in the discussion hall in the College.

During the symposium, the issue of violence against women was introduced by addressing its causes, manifestations, and appropriate solutions, while discussing its legal and legal aspects, and addressing the statistics announced by human rights institutions and organizations in the world regarding this aspect, as well as identifying the most important reasons for the spread of this phenomenon due to ignorance and lack of awareness.

It is worth noting that the phenomenon of violence against women is a global phenomenon that all societies suffer from, especially the Arab society. In recent years in light of the security instability and conflicts in many countries, the pace of this phenomenon has increased
