The College of Veterinary Medicine holding a training course on the title:Animals of Experiments: Ways of Treatment & Care and Methods of Drawing Blood Samples.

Under the sponsorship and supervision of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Professor Dr. Wefaq Jubouri Al-Bazi, and in cooperation with the Branch of Physiology, Pharmacology and Biochemistry the Division of Continuing Education will conduct a training course on the title: Animals of Experiments: Ways of Treatment & Care and Methods of Drawing Blood Samples.

The training course held for the period from 29-31/1/2023 in the physiology laboratory in the college with the participation of a number of faculty members, teachers and students. The training course was lectured by Dr. Wafa Kazem Jassim, Dr.Saba Ibrahim Saleh and Dr. Saja Rahman Karim.

The training course set the aims of identifying the mechanism and methods of dealing with laboratory animals when conducting scientific research, tests and experimental studies in universities and medical colleges. In addition, it aims to identify methods of treatment and care and methods of drawing blood samples of animals of experiments in pharmaceutical institutions and companies to test treatments for diseases, conducting toxins tests. Moreover, to ensure correct results in these experiments which are necessary in the cosmetics industry. The course concentrates on the knowledge of breeding methods, care followed for laboratory of animals and how to take different blood samples from them.
