A study at the College of Veterinary Medicine discusses the effect of aloe vera extract on some blood parameters and histological changes in the liver and bone marrow after treatment with azathioprine.

A master’s thesis at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala discussed the effect of aloe vera extract on changes in bone marrow and liver functions caused by azathioprine in male rats by graduate student Ahmed Razzaq Karim in the branch of Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmaceuticals.
The study aimed to clarify the preventive effect of aloe vera extract in improving the toxic effects of azathioprine treatment on blood indicators and histological changes in the liver and bone marrow.
The most prominent findings of the letter are the ability of aloe vera extract to improve the physiological and histological effects resulting from treatment with azathioprine.
The thesis was approved with distinction
