Workshop at the College of Veterinary Medicine on the importance of practical training in enhancing job opportunities

             As part of its various activities aimed at developing the capabilities of students and graduates, the Rehabilitation, Employment and Graduate Follow-up Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, organized a workshop entitled “The importance of practical training in enhancing job opportunities”, under the direct supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asad Al-Kaabi.

The workshop aimed at highlighting the importance of refining the practical skills of students and graduates, which contributes to increasing their ability to adapt to the requirements of the labor market and achieve professional success in various fields of veterinary medicine, through the preparation of integrated training programs that keep pace with modern developments in this field.

The workshop discussed mechanisms to develop practical training programs for students and graduates, with a focus on holding specialized courses on various modern veterinary devices, such as sonar, artificial insemination device, radiology device, and metal testing device, in addition to emphasizing the importance of summer training in veterinary hospitals, clinics and clinics in different governorates, in order to provide students with practical experiences that enhance their readiness to enter the labor market.

The workshop, which was lectured by veterinarian Dr. Karrar Ali Kazim, witnessed a distinguished attendance of students and graduates who praised the importance of such initiatives that contribute to linking the academic side with the applied side, and open wide horizons for graduates to build their careers with confidence and efficiency.
