As part of its awareness-raising efforts, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Karbala University has emphasized the importance of preventing sandstorms, which intensify during the summer season due to the health and environmental damage they cause to humans and animals.
Assistant Professor Dr Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College, pointed to the need to spread health and environmental awareness, calling for adherence to preventive guidelines such as wearing masks, reducing exposure to dust, and securing animal breeding places.
These recommendations come in the context of the college’s keenness to protect public health and support community efforts in the face of extreme climatic phenomena.
