Fifth-Year Students Conduct Practical Application: Sterilization of a Cat in the Surgery and Obstetrics Department

       As part of the practical program for fifth-year students at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala, a uterine sterilization (ovarian removal) procedure was performed on a cat under the supervision of the Surgery and Obstetrics Department.

This procedure aimed to enhance students’ surgical skills and provide them with practical experience in handling veterinary surgical cases within a learning environment that offers direct training under the supervision of specialized professors in the department.

For his part, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, praised the efforts of the teaching staff in supporting students in the field and developing their surgical abilities. He emphasized the college’s commitment to continuing the applied approach that links theoretical study with practical practice, keeping pace with the demands of the modern profession in the field of veterinary medicine.
