A Scientific Research Discussion in the Department of Anatomy and Histology at the College of Veterinary Medicine

The Department of Anatomy and Histology at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala, hosted a discussion of a scientific research paper by student Abbas Nassif Obaid entitled:

“Histological Effect of Lepidium sativum Extract on the Pituitary and Mammary Glands in Adult Local Female Rabbits”.

The study aimed to evaluate the histological effect of garden cress (Lepidium sativum) extract on the pituitary and mammary glands in adult local female rabbits. The results showed clear structural changes in the treated groups compared to the control groups, including increased eosinophil activity in the pituitary gland, dilation and enlargement of the ducts, and increased secretory activity in the mammary glands.

The discussion was held under the supervision and guidance of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, and the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Professor Dr. Ihab Ghazi Mahdi. The examining committee consisted of:
