Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, the college’s Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the University Presidency’s Subcommittee for Combating Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism, organized a workshop entitled “Cyber Extortion and Intellectual Extremism: Between Legal Criminalization and Community Prevention Strategies.”
The workshop was presented by specialized officers from the National Security Directorate in Kerbala Governorate. Its topics included the legal aspects of cyber extortion crimes and methods of preventing intellectual extremism, with a focus on the role of educational institutions in promoting community awareness and building a safe environment.
The workshop witnessed significant interaction from the attendees, who emphasized the importance of intensifying awareness programs that contribute to protecting the university community and enhancing intellectual security among students.
