The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala, organized an awareness campaign titled “Renewable Energy: The Sustainable Solution for a Better Future.” The campaign included the distribution of informational posters introducing the concept of renewable energy and highlighting its primary sources, such as solar, wind, hydroelectric, and geothermal energy.
The campaign addressed the importance of renewable energy in protecting the environment and achieving sustainable development by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and curbing pollution and emissions, in addition to its role in enhancing energy security and creating new job opportunities.
Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College, emphasized the importance of continuing such awareness campaigns, which contribute to fostering an environmental culture and raising awareness regarding sustainability issues and environmental protection.
