For the purpose of activating the MOU that signed between the the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Holy Karbala Directorate of Agriculture on 6/30/2022, the Director of the Division of Continuing Education at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala, Dr. Rana Abdul-Amir Jawad, a representative of the College, met with the Head of the Department of Livestock Services, Dr. Amerah Al-Hafiz, and Eng. Hussein Ali Nuri, Deputy Head of the Department, Member of the Follow-up Committee of the activation of the MOU between the two parties.
Dr. Rana Jawad presented a proposal to build a shelter for stray dogs, which has several benefits, the most important of which is reducing the number of dogs in public streets and its negative impact on public health, and to combat communicable and epidemiological common diseases, in addition to its use in scientific research on common diseases and animal anatomy.
On her part, Al-Hafiz praised the activation of the agreed upon MOU between the two partners and the addition of proposals for solving common problems in the agricultural and veterinary sectors.
