Within the framework of its various scientific activities and under the auspices and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaad Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Microbiology and Veterinary Parasites Branch, organized a training course entitled (The Role of Laboratory Techniques in Diagnosing Bacteria: From Traditional to Modern). Assistant Professor Dr. Juman Khalil Ibrahim, teacher Amal Muhammad Khudair and teacher Nawras Majeed Hamid lectured, and a number of specialists participated.
The course aimed to highlight the most important laboratory methods used in the diagnosis of bacteria, whether traditional or modern, which are an essential part of microbiology and medicine.
The course emphasized the importance of bacterial diagnosis in determining the type of pathogenic bacteria to guide appropriate treatment.
The course focused on traditional methods that provide a strong basis for determining the type and characteristics of bacteria, along with modern techniques that are accurate and fast, which contributes to improving diagnosis and treatment, especially in emergency cases.
Participants in the course stressed that the combination of traditional methods and modern technologies enhances the efficiency of laboratory diagnosis and ensures the timely provision of appropriate treatments, which contributes to improving medical and research services.
