Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi honored the winners of the Excellence Award for Artificial Intelligence Developers.
This came at the third annual Iraqi Artificial Intelligence Forum held by the University of Information and Communications Technology and Future University, where he explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirms its interest in this path, which required it to move to create a college of artificial intelligence and specialized departments and centers, support the development of curricula related to artificial intelligence and integrate it into various academic programs, as well as launch the AI award in scientific research, establish artificial intelligence engineering clubs in universities and colleges, and lay the foundation stone for AI and cybersecurity laboratory projects.
The Minister of Education added that the accelerating indicator of growth rates within the AI space imposes simultaneous entitlements and offers important possibilities for knowledge and procedural expansion, pointing to the importance of harnessing AI in the stages of teaching and learning, anticipating results and making maximum efforts to develop tools, techniques and research that enhance the ability to understand and realize current challenges and requirements.
The forum included a speech by the President of the University of Information and Communications Technology, the presentation of success stories and inspiring experiences in AI applications, honoring the three best projects for AI developers, in addition to holding a dialogue session on expert insights on the future of AI, as well as an exhibition of equipment and applications for AI
