Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college organized an awareness workshop entitled “Shadow Restrictions and Cyber Extortion of Women” on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness among female students and staff about the dangers of cyber extortion and to explain methods of digital protection, in addition to discussing the psychological and social effects of this type of crime on women. The workshop also addressed the role of the law in combating cyber extortion and the correct reporting methods to ensure the protection of victims.
This event comes within the framework of the college’s commitment to spreading a culture of digital awareness and empowering women to face the challenges associated with modern technologies, thus contributing to creating a safe and supportive university environment.
