The College of Veterinary Medicine Council at the University of Kerbala held its seventh session, chaired by the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, and attended by the Vice Deans and Heads of Academic Departments. The session addressed several academic and administrative matters in accordance with the directives of the University Presidency and the university’s development plans.
The session included a review of the directives of the University President, which emphasized the importance of digital transformation in education through registration on the IQ Learn platform and the HEPIQ program. The council also discussed the importance of entering and transferring student data within the SIS system, as well as adhering to the official university dress code and attendance schedules, and utilizing modern technologies in examination administration.
Furthermore, the council discussed the necessity of including scientific journals in reputable international databases, establishing and improving quality assurance principles, and engaging with the private sector to enhance educational outcomes and align them with labor market demands. The council also highlighted the importance of Arabic language courses for students within the “Study in Iraq” initiative.
For his part, the Dean of the College emphasized the importance of monitoring student attendance and adherence to the examination schedule, implementing the academic plan for research completion, and strengthening the role of educational advising and providing guidance to students. This aims to contribute to building a conscious university environment free from extremist ideologies, in addition to following up on the completion of the requirements for holding the college’s scientific conference.
This session is being held as part of the college’s efforts to enhance academic performance and develop the educational environment in line with the University of Kerbala’s objectives of achieving quality and institutional excellence.
