Two researchers from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala have registered a bacterial isolate in the GenBank database.

      The research team, comprised of Master’s student Samer Mohammed Ali Mohammed and supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, achieved a new scientific milestone, adding to the record of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala in the field of scientific research. This achievement was accomplished by registering a bacterial isolate of Pasteurella multocida in the GenBank database (NCBI).

The isolate was registered under the identification number:
PZ326526

These results are part of the student’s Master’s thesis and contribute to supporting molecular and diagnostic studies of important bacteria in veterinary medicine.

The Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi, emphasized that this scientific achievement reflects the distinguished research level of the college and contributes to enhancing the academic and research presence of the University of Kerbala in international scientific forums.
